Finding Personal Respect and Personal Pride

Before taking The Way to Happiness Correspondence Course, I did not realize my degree of self-respect or personal pride. I never really had a yardstick upon which to compare myself before and I became more aware of what makes me tick. I also noticed the areas in which I needed improvement.
When I was working, I never lacked personal pride; however, this particular pride was centered on my work, as was my self-respect. The pride I enjoyed before taking this course of study was all related to my work and not to myself as a person and how I cohabited with others.
“I now realize that to receive personal respect and personal pride, I have to change how I see others, and have empathy toward others.”
