Learning Opens Doors: Success Stories from the Criminon Program in UK
I would like to say this course has had an impact on me. The coursework was laid out in a way that I could understand. This course has shown me that rather than shy away from something I don’t understand, it is always better to ask. The tutor’s feedback was also inspiring. It has given me more confidence in the way I look at learning new topics. I have now enrolled in the next course, which I am enjoying, thanks to this course.

I have found the course very good, and it has helped me a lot [with] how to understand things better and how to look at things in many different ways and has also given me the spirit to want to learn.

This course is very useful in having a method of how to learn. Most of the subject was like a refresher for me as I already use most of the methods presented here, but now I tend to search more the words I don’t know the meaning of in the dictionary, and that is useful because English is my second language, and I can enrich my vocabulary.

First of all, I want to thank the Criminon team and my assessor Alicia for the courses and the opportunity to be part of it. I really benefitted so much from the courses, and I learned new things in my life, things that seem minor but were put into reality – these tools are very important and useful in studies and even in our daily lives. Learning how to learn changed my way of thinking about studying. The other courses cover important subjects, too. I would like to continue studying all the courses because they are important and interesting to me. Thank you again for committing to improving our lives and preparing us to fit into society and be part of it.

“I think I benefited from this course in the most important way – understanding and knowing how to help other learners.”
I think I benefited from this course in the most important way—understanding and knowing how to help other learners. I have many mentor jobs while I am in prison and I think I learned a lot of things that can help me carry on my mentoring and also how I help others. Also in the future, after I am released, these skills can help me to help others through voluntary work as well as with my kids—help them learn in school.
It was a very good course. Thank you very much for helping!
